Bible Skills Competition

The Bible skills competition is one of the highlights of the year; it is an opportunity for the children and youth to show just a small portion of what they have learned. Throughout the year the children will learn all 66 books of the Bible in order, 25 verses, and ten key passages. What makes this exciting is that, during the competition, the children in 4th through 6th grade will have ten seconds to find a book of the Bible, a verse, or key passage. The Youth have eight seconds but they will learn and show the doctrinal facts that they have learned as well!

While their nerves may be on end, they do a remarkable job of showing composure; just as we all must do in our daily walk when under pressure. What a tremendous inspiration it is to watch the adults of tomorrow spend their time not only embedding God’s Holy Word in their heart but recalling it in such strained times.

Here you see the children eating a light dinner prior to the competition as teachers provide a calm and controlled environment prior to the competition.

Please pray for the children as they refine their knowledge; pray for the teachers and parents as they prepare the children.

Our next competition will be May 16th at 7 pm. Won’t you come join us as the children compete at the Associational level!
