Hello, this is pastor gary from first baptist church of laplata. This is from the “Could you repeat that, please?” file. Germany has had legalized euthanasia since 2020; individuals who no longer want to live can go to a clinic and be treated to induce death. The German Euthanasia Association clinics, in order to promote public safety, are now refusing to provide assisted suicide to anyone who is not vaccinated against COVID-19. Could you repeat that, please? That’s right, you must be vaccinated against the coronavirus if you plan to die imminently. Of course, this policy is supposed to protect the clinic employees as well as other members of the public who may be visiting the clinic; even so, it sounds strange that one must have his shots up to date in order to kill himself. Giving and taking life is the Divine prerogative; with the exception of governments exercising the biblical death penalty, mankind possesses the ability–but not the authority–to take human life. Abortion, murder, euthanasia and everything else in between are a direct violation of Commandment number 6, “Thou shalt not kill.” Human life must be protected at all stages and at all costs. At least in Germany, when someone commits suicide, the public can now rest assured that he died corona-free.
