Hello, this is pastor gary from first baptist church of laplata. It started with a coin shortage, then ketchup packets, then computer chips, then lumber, now chicken wings and swimming pool chlorine. All these shortages are blamed on COVID; however, we are now expecting a gasoline shortage due to a hacked pipeline that serves the east coast. This pandemic just keeps piling on! As believers, we can be certain of one thing, and that is according to Philippians 4:19, God will supply all of our needs. Jesus also promised in Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” We may not have everything we want, but we will never lack anything we truly need; our problem is that we sometimes confuse our wants with our needs. Something else that is never in short supply is God’s love and God’s grace. God possesses an eternal amount of both of these crucial necessities and distributes them freely and abundantly. Because of God’s love, all people receive God’s common grace; but by faith, believers receive God’s saving grace. If you are hearing or reading this, you are receiving God’s common grace, but have you received God’s saving grace? You can by grace through faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior!
