Hello, this is pastor gary from first baptist church of laplata. Canada is our closest neighbor to the north, and we share similar laws; however, Canada recently passed a law that affects an area over which they have no jurisdiction: the moon! In anticipation of increased public space flight and eventual moon colonization, the Canadian government has extended its legal reach to apply its laws to its citizens who are traveling abroad—like way abroad–places other than earth. The new law reads that if a citizen commits an act that would be criminal in Canada, it is criminal in space and can be prosecuted by Canadian officials. My question is, how are the Canadian police going to arrest and extradite these space criminals? I suppose the future will have police cruiser spacecraft with on board jails; for now, Canadian law enforcement will just have to wait on earth until their criminals return home. Since God is God of the Universe, His laws apply no matter where you are: earth, space, or heaven. God’s laws are eternally established and universally applicable. This is why Christianity can work in every culture among every people. Christianity transcends culture. There are nations, peoples, and cultures that reject Christianity, but they could adopt the faith and receive the blessings of doing so.
