God’s Grace with Gary 6/17/22

Hello, this is pastor gary from first baptist church of laplata. How long can you keep your job as a gas station manager these days when you change the price for a gallon of premium gas to 69 cents? Not long. A California man was fired for doing just that and costing the station owner $16000.00! It was a mistake that took three hours to realize and fix. The manger meant to program $6.99 into the pumps but missed the last 9. The unsuspecting employees could not figure out why their station had suddenly become so popular. Gas prices have not been that cheap since 1978—forty-four years ago! The manager noticed something else about his station during those three hours: people were smiling instead of frowning as they filled their tanks. A decimal point is very small but its placement in a number makes a significant difference. This misplaced decimal point cost $16,000.00 and a man his job. Likewise, just one unforgiven sin will keep a person from eternal life in heaven. James 2:10 states “For whosoever shall keep the whole law and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” The eternal security we have in Christ is based on the fact that at salvation, our sins are completely forgiven: past, present, and future.
