Hello, this is pastor gary from first baptist church of laplata. Hotels are rated by stars: a one star hotel has very few amenities, and a five star hotel has every service patrons could ever want. Have you heard of the zero-star hotel in Switzerland? This hotel is part of an art project, and has no walls, roof, doors, or privacy. The surrounding neighborhood isn’t much to enjoy, either: the hotel is positioned in an empty parking lot next to a gas station. For $337.00/night, one can stay in this zero-star hotel and contemplate climate, economic, and equality issues; the room does come with a butler and breakfast. Thankfully, we will not face any zero-star accommodations in heaven. Jesus said in John 14:2, “In My Father’s house are many mansions…” Mansions are generally very large and impeccably appointed. We read in the Book of Revelation that the streets and buildings of Heaven are made of pure gold, so even five stars on earth cannot describe the glories and beauties of Heaven. That’s why Paul wrote in I Corinthians 2:9, “…Eye hath not seen nor ear heard neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.”
