Hello, this is pastor gary from first baptist church of laplata. And now a story from Mexico: a wife found pictures of her husband with a younger, thinner woman on her husband’s phone. Enraged with jealousy, the wife repeatedly stabbed her husband. Thankfully, the husband was not seriously injured. Apparently, the husband’s looks had not changed much, but the wife’s looks had changed because the younger, thinner woman WAS his wife from back when they were dating! Spouses have every right to be upset if their partners have been unfaithful; however, spouses must always check the facts first—or at least listen to an explanation: something this wife failed to do. Proverbs 31:30 states, “Favour is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.” While beauty and youthfulness may fade as the years go by, godliness remains. Let us be godly in all of our behaviors to include faithfulness to our spouses—even if we are not married yet. God is faithful: may we model His faithfulness to others.
