Hello, this is pastor gary from first baptist church of laplata. M&M’s are a very popular candy introduced in 1941 and named after Mars and Murrie, the men who produced them. When I was a kid, M&M’s came in plain and peanut but now come in mint, brownie, peanut butter, and a variety of other flavors. I have never considered doing anything with M&M’s other than eating them; however, some people are using plain M&M’s to set world records. A man in Australia recently broke the record for stacking the famed candy: he stacked six M&M’s on top of each other breaking the previous world record of five. The stacks must stand for ten seconds to qualify. I’ve heard of rock stacking, but stacking M&M’s is new to me; the big difference between stacking rocks and stacking M&M’s is that after you have stacked your M&M’s, you can eat them—the rocks? Not so much. Incidentally, standard M&M’s come in six colors: brown, orange, red, blue, yellow, and green. Like the wordless Bible, M&M’s can remind us of God’s plan of salvation: brown represents our sin; orange, the color of danger, for dying in our sin; red, the blood of Christ; blue, the waters of baptism; yellow, the streets of Heaven; and green, eternal life. Whether you care for M&M’s or not, I hope you have followed God’s plan of salvation to ensure and secure eternal life.
