Hello, this is pastor gary from first baptist church of laplata. Today’s date is 2/22/22, and it’s a Tuesday! I’m not making fun of those who stutter, but if you say today’s date and day together, it sounds like stuttering. I even read about a woman who is turning 22 today. Some of you may be thinking all these two’s are too much to handle. What do all of these two’s mean? Numerology, as the name implies, is the study of numbers and their symbolic or representative meanings. The Bible has many references to symbolic numbers such as 40, the time of trial or testing: Noah’s flood, Israel’s wandering, Jonah’s sermon, and Jesus’ temptation are a few examples. Six is the biblical number of man, who was created on day 6, and the epitome of man’s rebellion against God is the beast whose number is a trio of 6’s: 666. As far as the number two goes, the Bible uses it but is not big on it. There are those who live their lives by numbers seeking direction and solace through them; believers do not look to numbers, we look to God. While we do see numbers used both specifically and symbolically in the Bible, we use these numbers as a guide to interpretation—not determination. So again I ask, what do all these two’s mean this Tuesday? They simply mean that we are on the 22nd day of the 2nd month of the 2022nd year, and I hope you have a great 2-2-2-2-2 Tuesday!
