Hello, this is pastor gary from first baptist church of laplata. Starlink is a fleet of low orbit communication satellites that can deliver high speed internet anywhere in the world. Elon Musk, founder of the Tesla electric car company, the SpaceX space travel company, and the richest man in the world, owns Starlink. When Russia began its attack on Ukraine last February, one of the first things to go was internet service. While the Youtubers and Tik Tokers were certainly upset, the Ukrainian military command and control was unable to function. Enter Elon Musk: he turned on his Starlink system to give Ukraine free internet access not only bringing the military back online but allowing Ukrainian citizens to contact family and friends around the world and to deliver raw footage of their desperate situation to the world. Loss of internet service was not an accidental casualty of war; the Russians specifically targeted Ukraine’s communication ability to wreak havoc on the chain of command; it is a tried and true military strategy used by all armies throughout history. This is the same strategy that Satan uses today. Satan knows that we need to communicate with God through reading God’s Word and prayer; however, once that communication is destroyed, we become powerless sitting ducks. When is the last time you really read your Bible and prayed outside of church? Satan is using your busy-ness and excuses to keep your communication lines down. Russia could probably knock out Starlink, but no one can take down prayer-link. God is always available 24/7/365; all we have to do is call.
