Hello, this is pastor gary from first baptist church of laplata. Last month it is was a fox who was attacking people in Washington, DC, and now it is a turkey doing the same thing. We all know there are a bunch of turkeys in Washington, DC, otherwise known as politicians, but this is an actual tom turkey who is terrorizing the community not far from the US Capitol building. The tom turkey shows no discrimination as he attacks walkers and bikers alike using his beak and talons to puncture the skin of passersby. Of course, those who travel this route want this tom to stop cold turkey, but he is showing no signs of doing so. Someone should sit this tom down and talk turkey to him: either cease and desist or personally learn the dark side about a cherished American tradition: Thanksgiving. Animal attacks are not uncommon now but will also be a sign of the end times. Revelation 6:8 describes a pale horse ridden by Death who was given power “over the fourth part of the earth to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.” Before sin entered Creation, there was peace among the animals and people. During the millennium, this same peace will be restored. Isaiah 11:8 refers to children playing with snakes, and Isaiah 65:25 famously tells of a time when the wolf, lamb, and lion will live together in harmony. Woody Allen said something like, “I’ve always liked that someday the lion will lay down with the lamb; even so, I don’t think the lamb will get much sleep! Not so! The Prince of Peace will rule over the earth at peace from the City of Peace, Jerusalem! That peace will include both the human the animal kingdoms.
